This minor is designed for students who seek an overview of the discipline's four traditional subfields: cultural, biological, and linguistic anthropology and archaeology.
Total number of required credits: 20 credits.

INTRODUCTORY COURSES:
two courses required - 7 credits
one introductory course in cultural or linguistic anthropology:
- 01:070:101 Culture and Social Life (3) - fall 2019, spring 2020 OR
- 01:070:108 Language, Culture and Society (3) - fall 2019, spring 2020
AND
one introductory course in evolutionary anthropology:
- 01:070:102 Introduction to Human Evolution (4) - fall 2019, spring 2020 OR
- 01:070:105 Introduction to Archaeology (4) - fall 2019, spring 2020 (1 honors lab only, limited seats)
ELECTIVE COURSES:
can be cultural anthropology electives or evolutionary anthropology electives.
Of these remaining 12-13 credits, at least 6 must be at the 300 level or above.
All courses applied to this minor must be completed with a grade of C or better.
