Course Description: Politics of cultural processes. Race, gender, ethnicity, and sexuality in representations. Theories of cultural production, domination, distribution, and consumption. Resistance and nonmainstream culture; ethnographic examples of ideology, economy, and global cultural flows. Prerequisite: 01:070:101 or permission of instructor.
