Course Description: Emergent theories of inequality. Social constructions of difference. Topics challenging conventional notions of cultural anthropology-identity, representation, discrimination, exclusion, marginalization, contestation, resistance. Prerequisite: 01:070:101 or permission of instructor. Recommended: two additional courses in cultural anthropology. Intended for majors.
