Course Description: Exemplary fieldwork-based monographs in cultural anthropology, with an emphasis on most recent ones. Ethnography as text; ethnography as cultural description, inscription, interpretation, and criticism; ethnography as theory-laden versus ethnography as data for theorizing. Prerequisite: 01:070:101 or permission of instructor.
