Body in history and society. Comparative approaches to cultural construction of bodies. Impact of gender, sexuality, ethno-national, racial, and class differences on body practices. Formation of normative discourses on body in medical science, consumer culture, mass media. Prerequisite: 01:070:101 or permission of instructor.
