WELCOME

Note from the Chair

Welcome to the Department of Anthropology at Rutgers, one of the top-ranked departments in the nation!

We pride ourselves on providing a first-rate education to undergraduate students, with an array of degrees (a BA in Anthropology, BA in Cultural Anthropology, BS in Evolutionary Anthropology, and minors in Anthropology and Cultural Anthropology) that promise to transform them into active, engaged global citizens.

Graduate students, in turn, receive state-of-the-art training in theory and research, working with leading scholars in evolutionary and cultural anthropology, who carry out field research in such areas as Latin America, Africa, South Asia, the Caribbean, North America and China.

I invite you to browse our website and learn more about the many opportunities provided by our department and the terrific accomplishments of our faculty and students.

Warmly,

Craig Feibel, Chair
