Course Description: An explanation of gendered practices in South Asia. Ethnographies from Hindu, Buddhist, and Muslim communities explore the various aspects of gender in particular South Asian contexts. Prerequisite: 01:070:101 or 01:070:244 or permission of instructor.  Credit not given for both this course and 01:988:389.
